Cultural Action Plan 2011 includes seven priority lines of programming, including Spain today, Memory and global awareness

Action Plan 2011 Cervantes Cultural Institute, presented today by the director, Carmen Caffarel, plans to hold more than 6,500 cultural events a year in which Cervantes celebrates its 20 anniversary (the law creating the institution to
tested the March 21, 1991). Programming is based on seven Líne
as priority: finding new audiences, Dialogue of Civilizations,
policies gender, Spain today, Bicentennial, Memory and global awareness.
A presentation
have attended various players in the English culture, including the dancer Maria Pages, the singer Pepe Bean, The Shica, Hevia or actor Carlos Iglesias, and numerous representatives of embassies in Spain, businesses and institutions.
Carmen Caffarel explained the criteria used and the main activities planned to spread the English language and culture of Spain and other English-speaking countries at 78 centers in 44 countries distributed Cervantes. Among them
the English Day celebrations on 18 June, an event that reaches its third edition. Caffarel accompanied the director of the Institute of Culture, Rufino Sanchez and the deputy director of this area, Juana Escudero.
The Plan sets out

In 2010 it conducted more than 6,200 cultural activities, which involved 3,500
repr esentantes of English culture, including writers, academics, filmmakers, artists, scientists, thinkers, actors, writers, editors, musicians, etc.
More than 2,200 associates have made it possible for 65 million participants agreed, one way or another, to the activities. Among these are the 500 film series made
