The University of Salamanca display from Friday, and until April 10, 260 Unamuno drawings in the Exhibition Hall of the Patio de Escuelas Menores, to mark the 75th anniversary of the death of the former rector of the institution Salamanca academic.
The exhibition includes a wide selection of over 200 drawings that are preserved in the Casa Museo Unamuno and can be observed through the repository "Gredos" of the University of Salamanca. The drawings selected range from childhood memories through drawing landscapes and animals to religious symbols, architectural elements and sketches of the covers of his books, included portraits of human figures both famous people and their own family.
The human side of the thinker
Ana Chaguaceda, exhibition curator and director of the Casa-Museo Unamuno, said the noted rector made many portraits of his wife and their children with great tenderness, which reveals the human side of the thinker. " In his view, the drawings on display "reflected aspects of his own life and thereby help to know how well or how bad it was having the writer at certain times in their lives. "

The sample was inaugurated on Friday by the governing Ruiperez Daniel Hernandez, in the presence of the grandsons of the immortal writer, Mercedes, and Miguel de Unamuno Salome Adarraga.
The exhibition ends with portraits of Unamuno, with various objects and two paintings, and texts of the writer who theorized about the art of drawing and which refers to circumstances in which made his own sketches. Furthermore and in addition there were two videos that can be seen in the exhibition hall and a catalog with the study by Professor Fernando Rodriguez de la Flor, Department of English Literature, and introduction of Miguel Angel Jaramillo, director of the Service Archives and curator.
